Freight Team Associates are responsible for stocking merchandise onto shelves to achieve 100% in stock, organizing the sales floor to create a pleasant and safe shopping environment, and providing customer service as required by customer demand. In addition some Freight Team Associates as designated by the Operations Assistant Store Manager (ASM), operate reach trucks and order pickers to bring down merchandise safely from the overhead bays to the sales floor. A successful Freight Team Associate must have a high level of work commitment, work well with others and be capable of learning and following procedures

Stocks merchandise onto shelves for customer availability; requires sorting and staging of merchandise to sales floor Follow proper safety and BIP (Back Injury Prevention) guidelines Prepares store to be grand opening ready Communicates any issues to department supervisor Merchandises new items as directed Builds end caps and promotions Maintains aisle cleanliness and shoppability so that merchandise is accessible, customers are able to move through the aisles easily and merchandise is presented in a visually appealing manner Maintains safe and organized overheads (e.g. striping overheads) Communicates in-stock level of merchandise with Operations ASM Performs packing-out and packing-down merchandise as directed Moves freight safely from designated staging areas to overheads or brings merchandise safely down from overheads using the appropriate equipment as necessary Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished
