New Park Brewing is a well-known and highly rated craft brewery in Connecticut, specializing in New England IPAs, stouts, unfiltered lagers, and sour beers. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Brewer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and managing all aspects of the brewing process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in every batch. This position also involves cellar work, cleaning, forklift operation, and barrel work. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of brewing, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpooling, cooling, and fermentation.
• Monitor fermentation, maturation, and conditioning processes to ensure optimal beer quality.
• Operate, maintain, and clean brewing equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Develop and refine recipes for our core and seasonal beers in collaboration with the brewing team.
• Conduct quality control checks and sensory evaluations to ensure product consistency and excellence.
• Manage packaging operations, including kegging, bottling, and canning.
• Maintain accurate records of brewing operations, inventory management, and production schedules.
• Train and mentor junior brewing staff and assistants.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of professional brewing experience in a commercial brewery setting.
• Strong passion for craft beer and a comprehensive understanding of brewing processes and equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 55 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team-oriented environment.
• Formal brewing education or certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
