Specific duties of the Construction Coordinator will include but is not limited to:

• Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the installation of new plant equipment, new building construction or making modifications to existing equipment, structures, facilities, and systems for various Capex projects.
• Evaluate construction methods and assess the cost-effectiveness of plans and construction specifications to determine appropriate and efficient construction methods.
• Schedule and lead pre-construction contractor coordination meetings with contractors, plant operations, EHS, engineering and other departments as needed.
• Prepare and issue daily contractor construction permits including assessment of contractor JSA’s.
• Ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to by the construction workers.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules using MS Project or Excel in logical steps (tasks) and estimating the time required (duration) to complete the project and meet specific milestones and deadlines.
• Investigate damage, incidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being followed.
• Oversee the delivery of materials, construction tools, equipment and inspect accordingly.
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Develop, implement and monitor construction quality control.
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
• Maintain and hand-over construction red-line, as-built drawings, equipment manuals, etc. to the project engineer / manager when mechanical completion is achieved.
