Responsible for managing all supply chain functions, which may include, but are not limited to, vendor selection, procurement, inventory control, outsourcing, and distribution.Develops and implements sourcing, procurement and negotiation strategies to support business requirements. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization. Identifies and executes total cost savings across the supply chain. Identifies supply base issues, analyzes information to assess root cause, improvement opportunities and associated risk. Develops solutions and gains consensus in resolving issues or mitigating supply base risks. Manages all aspects of personnel selection, evaluation, development and direction.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience. CPM, CSCP, CPIM, Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent certification preferred.Strong people management and leadership skills, especially the ability to influence others not under direct report, as well as earn trust and respect. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Effective communications with senior executives. A complete understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant office software. Working knowledge of business processes related to projects and proposals. Understands fundamental value drivers of business and operations. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and programs. Expert in conducting analysis and solving problems. Strong ability to apply supply chain operations methodology to optimize impact of procurement on the supply chain. Expert in managing supplier performance and continuous improvement. Able to enhance productivity and effectiveness through the use of proven tools and techniques. Strong strategic sourcing, procurement and negotiation knowledge and skills.
