Position SummaryThe Sales & Marketing Specialist (SMS) is instrumental in supporting marketing and sales teams and other departments in achieving organizational goals. They are meticulous, skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, excel at building relationships, and have strong communication skills. The SMS adapts to various processes but also identifies and suggests improvements to process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with Sales and Operations to verify accurate job scope requirements.
  • Develops quotes/costs tailored to customer specifications and SES operational needs for the project and ensure accuracy from quote to invoice.
  • Analyzes new and existing customer account history to identify potential challenges to provide applicable strategies, services, and solutions as needed.
  • Engages in discussions with Sales and Operations to ascertain optimal pricing and approach strategies.
  • Diligently follows up on pending quotes and assists with closing the business.
  • Develops and monitor performance indicators; develop and provide data to assist the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Sales Support; assist with sales tracking resources; record and report sales trends as determined by management.
  • Prepares, reviews, and distributes correspondence to customers as needed.
  • Assists with report data for customer Quarterly Business Review key performance data.
  • Comprehensively maintains CRM system records, including quote statuses, customer interactions, etc.
  • Stays abreast of SES’s services and product offerings to address customer inquiries and effectively promote optimal and relevant solutions.
The Sales & Marketing Specialist will also undertake other responsibilities and duties as assigned periodically.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a sales-related, sales support, or customer service capacity.
  • Experience in the industrial and/or environmental services industry is preferred.
  • Strong Salesforce and Salesforce-reporting experience are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team player able to function individually and collectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to maintain composure under pressure, with a willingness to work extended hours when required.
