Venture Community Services is Hiring an Assistant Residential House Manager Near Webster, MA

*$1000 Sign on Bonus

We are looking for people who will work together to:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for adult disabled individuals by being a positive role model and provide the highest quality of service
  • Be comfortable with behaviors that may arise
  • Assist with activities of daily living (I.E personal hygiene and care which will include showering and toileting), community recreational activities, and functional activities
  • Maintain confidential files and complete daily report

Job description:

  • Fosters positive and productive professional relationships with others within the agency.
  • Builds relationships with others external to the agency (i.e. DDS, parents/guardians, vendors, other agencies, etc.).
  • Attends and participates in all required trainings and meetings.
  • Assists individuals with medications and health care needs and communicates any health care issues to the manager.
  • Completes necessary paperwork (i.e. incident reports, status assessments, progress notes, data sheets, medical sheets, Emergency Fact and Identification Sheets, time sheets, etc.).
  • Intervenes in the event of an emergency that requires physical restraint and/or redirection of an individual
  • Initiates and maintains contact with individuals’ families, service coordinators and service providers to discuss and coordinate the individuals’ activities and needs.
  • Assists Program Manager in implementing and enforcing all policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.) of the agency.
  • Assists Program Manager in monitoring monthly expenditures of program if assigned as necessary.
  • Assists Program Manager in orienting new employees to personnel policies, management manual, and emergency procedures.
  • Oversees staff in managing of consumers’ funds and program petty cash as necessary.
  • Assists Program Manager in ensuring the coordination of preventive and emergency medical care, including providing transportation as necessary and monitoring medication needs and consumption.
  • Assists Program Manager in reviewing all case management reports prepared by staff.

Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old with a High School Diploma or GED as well as a valid driver's license and good driving record, reliable transportation and the ability to pass a CORI and background check. Must be able to pass all required trainings including Medical Administration Program (MAP), CPR and First Aid. EOE/AA
