Responsibilities:

● Active member of the plant’s maintenance leadership team, responsible for overseeing and scheduling production and processing equipment maintenance team

● Support the ongoing review and execution of the planned maintenance programs, implementing new procedures as required

● Ensure equipment is able to consistently produce products in adherence with quality control standards.

● Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.

● Accurate inventory of spare parts, tooling, change parts; facilitating PO’s for parts and equipment as necessary

● Ensure mechanics are in compliance with safety and quality protocols during daily operation. Effective communication of safety and quality initiatives

● Keep up to date maintenance log records for all machinery.

● Establishing protocols for non-mechanical maintenance.

● Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.

● Effectively communicate with both subordinates and facility leadership to resolve issues and ensure production flow

● Maintain cleanliness to GMP standards

● Perform root cause analysis of system failures, develop and implement corrective action procedures

● Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

● Technical degrees in related field preferred

● Five (5) or more years of relevant experience preferred

● Prior experience in beverage or food grade manufacturing, experience with GMP and SQF programs preferred

● Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electric systems, PLC control systems and communication systems

● Time management, delegation, and organization skills with strong problem-solving ability

● Computer skills required

● Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.

● Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively - Solid problem solving and decision making skills

● Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment

● Must be available to support shift, weekend and holiday schedules as required. Overtime as needed

● Follow all safety policies and procedures

● Willingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations at times

● Ability to lift 40lbs, Use of step ladders, platforms, pallet jacks and forklifts
