As a Maintenance Worker with The Menta Group, you will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the safety and functionality of all Menta properties. Reimbursed (mileage) travel position based on travel beyond primary commute .
Travel to 3 primary locations: Machesney Park (Rockford) IL, Woodstock IL, and Waukegan IL.
Support to other schools in Northern IL/Chicagoland
Responsibilities

• Routinely provide maintenance at Menta Schools in Northern Illinois and Chicagoland
• Report any unusual incidents or safety concerns to Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Conduct routine scheduled inspections of premises and equipment
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance
• Respond to work order requests
• Knowledge of basic drywall repair
• Repair or replace electrical wiring, ballast and fixtures
• Construct and repair partitions and other wooden structures using saws, braces, bits, and appropriate materials and tools.
• Paint walls, floors, woodwork, and fixtures using appropriate materials and tools.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience
• Must have reliable transportation to visit job sites
• Engage in physical, manual labor
• General experience performing carpentry and drywall repairs
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Flexibility to schedule and work hours as needed
• Willingness to travel to school locations
