Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and ensuring that they align with the client's budget. Your role will involve analyzing project plans, conducting site visits, and collaborating with various stakeholders to determine project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction estimating principles.

Duties:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements
- Conduct site visits to gather information on existing conditions and assess potential challenges
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to develop accurate cost breakdowns
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and identify areas for cost control
- Provide support to the project management team by assisting with budget development and value engineering initiatives

Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid)
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Solid understanding of project management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
