Job SummaryThis full-time position will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the technical direction of the radiologist.
PRN or relief positions also available.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Produce two or three-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by Physicians in the diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs
  • Key test data and patient information into the computer of ultrasound equipment to maintain a record of test results
  • Operate the department computer system for scheduling and billing procedures
  • Operate PACS system to ensure all images are verified and sent
  • Share call responsibilities in Ultrasound
  • Maintain supply inventory
  • Report equipment malfunction to the Radiology Director, and reports safety concerns to appropriate personnel

QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent from AMA-approved ultrasound technology school.
Holds or is eligible for certification by the ARDMS or RDCS.
