GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire full-time DIESEL MECHANICS in our WATERLOO IA location to perform Heavy/Medium/Light Truck repair and maintenance work. - Performs work as outlined on repair order with accuracy
- Diagnoses complaints and malfunctions on repair orders and documents findings in detail
- Communicates with Parts Department on local procedures to obtain needed parts
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Initiates and maintains contact with manufacturer and OEMs
- Participates in manufacturer and dealership sponsored training programs, schools, and events
- Road tests vehicles when required
- Minimum 1-3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- CDL certification preferred
- Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier
- Ability to Read and Interpret Documents
- Ability to Document/Communicate effectively
