DSSP is looking to hire an energetic, forward-thinking Auditor professional for our audit services support contract! Each audit is projected to be completed within 60 days with the potential for the auditor to move onto the next audit the following 60 days.
Work location: Remote - candidates should be local to Washington, DC as there may be occasional on-site requirements.
Job tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:
Reviewing firms proposals and supporting documentation.
Reviewing the firm's timekeeping and accounting systems to determine if the systems are capable of properly segregating direct versus indirect costs.
Reviewing payroll records or other documentation (e.g., salary survey, contingent letters of hire, etc.) supporting the proposed direct labor rates.
Verifying incurred overhead expenses to the firms’ accounting records.
Reviewing the firms ‘overhead expense accounts for potential unallowable expenses per FAR subpart 31.2.
Reviewing, on a test basis, evidence supporting overhead expenses incurred.
Performing a trend analysis of firms’ historical overhead expenses incurred.
Evaluating the reasonableness of the firm’s proposed overhead rate(s) and developing alternative overhead rate(s) as necessary.
Reviewing historical and projected labor escalation; and reviewing direct labor rates, overhead rate(s), and labor escalation factors for the four option years after the initial base year.
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen
BA in Accounting or a related field
At least 3 years of federal audit review experience
Audit review experience should include and be related to direct labor rates, overhead rates (i.e., fringe benefit rate, overhead rate, and/or General and Administrative rate), and labor escalation factors.
