First Presbyterian Church of Washington, NC is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Washington, NC

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical and mechanical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintenance, functionality, and safety of all systems and elements of the building and grounds of First Presbyterian Church in order to assure that the facility is safe, functional, and welcoming for all who come to worship.

Duties:

- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing machinery, equipment, or systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent service by addressing maintenance concerns promptly.

-Provide maintenance of the grounds, including but not limited to lawn care, pruning, powerwashing, mulching, and repairs.
- Supervise maintenance projects as needed.

- Sunday morning duties such as ( but aren't limited to) turning on lights, unlocking doors upon arrival, maintaining thermostats, and clearing the building after Sunday worship.

Skills:

- A strong moral character, punctual, flexible, and a demonstrated record of dedication to task and a support attitude in working with others to accomplish goals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience in facilities maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge for diverse maintenance tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills for effective communication with stakeholders.
- Proficient in English for clear communication within the team.
- Capable of supervising maintenance tasks to ensure quality and efficiency.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

  • Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
