SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing tests through approved department procedures and in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following): A laboratory technician performs tests, maintains a safe environment, troubleshoots malfunctions, evaluates new methodologies, and assists with departmental inventory, ensuring uninterrupted testing and maintaining clinical competency.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES : The individual possesses strong communication, leadership, and team management skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive situations, work independently, and work in a fast-paced, regulated environment, while maintaining professional technical knowledge.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: The job requires a bachelor's degree in laboratory science, certification from ASCP, NCA, or AMT, demonstrated knowledge of laboratory areas, and proficiency in laboratory computer systems.
