Job Title: Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)

Position Summary:The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) plays a vital role in delivering services to individuals within their caseload, functioning as a key member of our Substance Use Disorder Treatment team. The CAC is responsible for facilitating rehabilitation, psycho-educational, and support groups, serving as the primary SUD Counselor for our consumers, and participating in the development and ongoing review of the Plan of Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate rehabilitation, psycho-educational, and support groups to assist individuals in their recovery journey.
- Serve as the primary SUD Counselor for consumers, building trust and supporting them through their treatment.
- Participate in the development and periodic review of the Plan of Care, collaborating with consumers, their families, and other network members.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation for clinical care and billing, maintaining 100% compliance with standards.
- Provide one-to-one counseling to address individual needs and support recovery goals.
- Engage in ongoing training relevant to the position and for the maintenance of licensure.
- Act as a liaison with the Clinical Director to ensure cohesive and effective treatment planning and delivery.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) in the District of Columbia.
- Associate's degree in health or human services field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with individuals, families, and team members.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality care to those dealing with substance use disorder challenges.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an essential or critical position requiring the candidate to report to a physical work location or make visits to consumers in the community as defined by the business needs of T and N Services and Solutions.
