Role Summary

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing Oracle RDBMS engineering and development support for existing client systems, including maintenance of existing functionality and creating new product features.
• Ensuring robust customer support, monitoring, and system stability and availability.
• Prioritizing development efforts and performing back refinement directly with client stakeholders on technical modifications and requirements.
• Managing database cloud infrastructure for development, test, stage, and production environments, including installation, upgrades, patching.
• Providing backup and restore, redundancy, resiliency, and data migration support across application environments.

What We Need From You (Required)

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Oracle RDBMS.
• Oracle Database Administration (DBA) skills to include installing, running, upgrading and maintaining Oracle Database products, as well as creating, maintaining, and enhancing schemas, tables, indexes, and triggers, grants, user accounts.
• Enforce database security, auditability, and least privilege principles.
• Proficient in SQL and the ability to write PL/SQL functions and stored procedures from scratch or debug, maintain or enhance existing code.
• Maintain Oracle database performance by conducting performance tuning, analyzing and refining SQL and PL/SQL code, and working with Java developers to ensure proper database interoperability.
• Intermediate or advanced competency with collaboration tools such as Atlassian suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira) as well as Microsoft Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Comfortable developing in a highly collaborative agile development environment (i.e. iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.)
• Solid communication skills (written and verbal to various audiences), and collaborative approach with clients, team members, and partners.

• Lead software engineer and team lead experience.
• Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional.
• AWS Certified Database – Specialty or other relevant AWS certification.
• Experience with AWS Oracle RDS.
• Experience with collaborative software development and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps.
