Golf Course & Grounds Maintenance Worker

Summary: Prepares and maintains the golf course as required, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards set forth. Sets course tee markers and cup replacements, operates and maintains grounds keeping equipment, assists with the installation, repair and operation of irrigation systems. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Golf Course Superintendent and General Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Landscape, weed, and water all Club property
• Operate edger, manual tools, mowers, and other maintenance equipment
• Maintain cart paths, landscaping, and all other areas pertinent to Club grounds
• Responsible for the removal of trash from the golf course and tennis courts
• Maintain a courteous, service oriented demeanor when interacting with others
• Follow basic golf etiquette to ensure members and guests are not unnecessarily interrupted by grounds keeping activities

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Must possess a valid Drivers License
• Must be able to operate machinery and use other power or manual tools with an emphasis on the safety of oneself and others
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Must be able to work weekends

• Strenuous Physical Activity - Lifts and Carries up to 100 pounds and pulls, pushes, or drags up to 150 pounds of maintenance equipment.
• Works both indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, temperature swings and inclement weather
• Some exposure to dust, odor, electrical, mechanical and toxic hazards using proper safety precautions and protective equipment.
• MUST be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

Compensation:

This is a Full Time Seasonal position. Beginning immediately.

Salary: $15-$16 per hour dependent on experience

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
