Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Dispatcher to join our team. The Emergency Dispatcher will be responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate personnel, and providing critical information to first responders.

Responsibilities:
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely manner
- Dispatch emergency services such as police, fire, and medical units
- Prioritize calls and relay information to the appropriate personnel
- Enter data accurately into computer-aided dispatch systems
- Communicate effectively with callers to gather essential information
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Monitor and track the status of responding units
- Collaborate with other dispatchers and emergency personnel to ensure efficient response

Skills:
- Proficient in data entry and computer operations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with callers and emergency personnel
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Strong conflict management skills to handle high-pressure scenarios
- Familiarity with phone systems and emergency dispatch protocols
- Typing proficiency for quick and accurate data entry
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and phone triage procedures
- Possession of relevant certification in emergency dispatch or willingness to obtain one

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
