- Monitor all Purchase Activity for assigned Categories.
- Process requests for quotes & bids.
- Facilitate our sales organization by sourcing products from established vendors.
- Work directly with sourcing team to ensure competitive pricing and beneficial purchasing activity in alignment with company goals.
- Manage RFQ activity for all commodities.
- Resolve Vendor Payment issues with Finance team to ensure that we are meeting our financial obligations to vendors.
- Work with Product Management to offer domestic replacement solutions for out-of-stock products and drive sales for assigned product category.
- Update order details in system database relating to expected delivery date, cost, etc.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the purchasing team.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadline
- Fundamental Procurement capabilities as evidenced by certification (APICS, SPSM) highly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Supply chain concepts and Purchasing procedures
