Job Title: Production Supervisor
Contract: 12-Month Contract, intention to extend/hire on perm.
Location: Warren, MI
Pay: Hourly Rate Ranging on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift, plus benefits
Typical Schedule: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shifts, 10-HR Shifts, various days (24/7 Manufacturing Facility) *around 20-Hrs of OT per week, paid at time & a half
The main function of a Production Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of the automotive manufacturing production and operating workers within a union environment.Key Responsibilities
- Leading start shift meetings and coordinating with previous shift, reviewing operations and conferring with technical/administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems that arise.
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
- Hiring, training, evaluating, and discharging staff, and resolving personal grievances.
- Preparing and maintaining production reports, personnel records, and overseeing payroll accuracy, timekeeping assurance, and employee schedules in accordance with production.
- H.S. Diploma/GED Required, Associate's degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience required
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, cost efficiency, machines/tools, managing employees in a union environment, technical, coachable, general mechanical knowledge, general pc knowledge.
