- A bachelor's degree with electrochemistry, material science, chemistry or related background.
- Considerable writing skill that can finish report and scientific article with supervision.
- Considerable knowledge in lithium-ion chemistry and battery components.
- Have good understanding of battery fabrication (slurry mixing, electrode coating, coin and pouch cell fabrication) and characterization (cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, common potentiostatic and galvanostatic methods etc.).
- Have good understanding of the material characterization techniques such as optical microscopy, rheology (especially with powder), SEM, TGA, DSC, peel test, tensile test, etc.
- Work collaboratively with partnering labs and research groups.
- The candidate(s) must have required experience or training in chemical handling and lab testing. Familiarity with safety protocols for handling hazardous material is preferred.
- The candidate must be physically able to wear respirators during work in lab.
