Our law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will handle various cases in civil litigation, labor, employment, business law, personal injury law, administrative law, estate planning, probate, and trust litigation. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious attorney barred in MO with a minimum of 3 years of experience in these fields. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law, a sharp mind, and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement, professional growth, and the chance to work on various challenging cases.
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal support and advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
  • Analyze the probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
  • Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, the ability to prosecute or defend lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Gather evidence to formulate a defense or initiate legal actions, such as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Barred in MO and good standing with the bar association.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, labor, employment, and business law, personal injury law, administrative law, estate planning, probate, and trust litigation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, colleagues, staff, and court officials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions based on a thorough understanding of legal issues.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
