This state-of-the-art bakery is looking for a Bakery Manager to join their flourishing bakery. Where local Appalachian youth engage, learn, and contribute to a financially sustainable model. The bakery is coupled with a full-service restaurant and thriving retail market that aims to inspire through product creation, excellent training, and a collaborative work environment.

Overview:

The Bakery Manager will be directly responsible for the operations within and attached to the bakery. This position is integral in nurturing the artistic and professional growth of our team and participants. Your leadership will ensure the bakery’s vibrant culture and operational efficiency, aligning with our broader mission.

Requirements :

• Working with youth: Contribute to a welcoming environment where youth can explore their interests while being supported with relationships and opportunities.
• Leadership development: Interest in developing comprehensive leadership skills that extend beyond the bakery floor. Contribute to goal setting, advancing the team culture, managing day-to-day operations, and working to achieve a mission much greater than your average bakery.
• Baking knowledge/experience: Proficiency in standard procedures, a broad spectrum of baked goods in a small scale, yet high volume bakery.
• Budgeting and budget management: Contribute to a financially sustainable model by driving revenue streams, contributing to the budgeting process, and overseeing weekly budget management.
• Curiosity and learning mindset: Ability to take and give constructive feedback.
• Commitment to quality: Uphold consistency and the bakery’s creative vision.
• Collaborative mindset: Work effectively within the bakery and restaurant, as well as with other departments.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Willingness and ability to commute or relocate to Wardensville, WV if necessary

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
