SUMMARY

General Description:
Under limited supervision, this position cross-functionally coordinates with all department stakeholders to develop and maintain a master schedule for the Spaceport.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develops, implements, and analyzes the Spaceport master project schedule to determine sequencing and ensure activities are on track to meet deadlines and contract deliverables.
  • Interfaces and collects input from multiple departments within the Spaceport, as well as external stakeholders, to integrate data into a master schedule.
  • Maintain seamless lines of communication with all schedule stakeholders regarding daily, weekly, monthly status.
  • Responsible for reviewing and communicating conflicts, critical path, lag relationships, constraints, and milestones.
  • Manages schedules across multiple programs and activities to forecast staffing, resource, and cashflow demands.
  • Evaluates actual progress against projections; addresses, reviews, and corrects any conflicts/issues with the master project schedule.
  • Develop, train, and educate staff on scheduling software templates and proper techniques.
  • Using various software platforms, assist in generating timely and quality monthly executive-level project reports and schedules for management review.
  • Lead the development of tools, standard operating procedures (SOP), and/or directives to standardize company-wide scheduling practices to achieve efficiency and uniformity.
  • Plans utilization of space and facilities for the organization, ensuring proper alignment with organizational goals, funding, and resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

General Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Job-Related Experience:
Three (3) years of direct, practical work experience managing a schedule for a complex project or organization preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with industry software is required (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

Certifications:
Documented formalized training or professional-level planning/scheduling certification is preferred (PSP, SP, etc).

Licenses, etc.:
Valid driver's license is necessary when operating a vehicle while on agency business.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of industry scheduling software is required.

Skills:
  • Regularly work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and high-level attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and working knowledge of SharePoint/other Microsoft Office products.

Abilities:
  • Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to lead and manage an effective team to meet common goals.

Physical Demands:
This position will experience the demands of a typical office environment.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in a typical office setting. Employee will be required to meet with stakeholders frequently, sometimes in field settings. This position is not approved for routine remote work.


Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for issuance of a NASA credential.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
