Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to the terminally ill Hospice patient as needed. To aid and understanding to the family in the home care situation and in time of bereavement, and to work as a member of the Hospice team in providing Hospice care.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee without restriction to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. OSHA Occupational Hazard present. For physical demands of position including vision, hearing, repetitive motion and environment, see following description.
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, there will be considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100-pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must have a current valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation as travel may be required.
The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
