The Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager of Operations, State Services in the timely reconciliation of client accounts and the preparation of invoice requests to be submitted to the Finance Department.

The Reconciliation Specialist is a remote position with the option to work in any of Kelmar's offices including Rockland, MA;

Wakefield, MA; or Wilmington, DE.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

• Performs customer account reconciliations including the validation of all transactions on a flexible basis (monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) depending on client needs
• Identifies discrepancies and achieves resolution independently by utilizing various resources available within the Company or by contacting external vendors
• Performs weekly quality assurance check on manually posted security transactions in Kelmar's proprietary unclaimed property database (KAPS).
• Prepares custodial account reconciliation reports for submission to the Senior Manager for review
• Assists Senior Manager in gathering and preparing vendor data for invoicing multiple service lines including : 1099, call center, claims, custodial services, holder reporting and other related services, as needed
• Prepares ACH instructions for submission to Senior Manager for review
• Maintains computerized backup of all discrepancy resolutions
• Recommends and implements process improvements
• Other administrative functions and special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS :

• A minimum of 2-4 years of related reconciliation experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• High level of detail and accuracy
• Must be proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience handling confidential information
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

SALARY & BENEFITS :

Compensation for this role varies depending on several factors including work location, level of experience, and skill set.

As required by applicable law, the hiring range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000.
