The Superintendent will effectively manage and control the overall execution of the assigned project. The Superintendent will be the primary contact on the job site for anyone who enters. Duties include overseeing field operations, safety, productivity, schedule, quality, and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completes all duties in accordance with Focus Design Builders’ core values and company standards.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and any associated project personnel as needed to ensure proper completion of each project managed.
• Meet with inspector(s) and/or inspections department to understand the process for the project’s specific jurisdiction.
• Review plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules and advise the project team of issues or deficiencies.
• Closely monitor and require strict adherence to plans, specifications, and contract requirements by suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and owners.
• Fully understand contracts for subcontractors/vendors performing work and ensure they are working within the executed contract.
• Ensure that all change requests are being mitigated and managed with communication and notification of Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager. No extra or change order work shall start without being authorized.
• Schedule and procure tools and equipment necessary for the project.
• Ensure that all progressed work is being documented with actuals in the project schedule.
• Maintain Focus Design Builder’s project construction check-off form for each construction project managed.
• Understand the owner’s construction goals and communicate to all field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Establish the punch list process and close-out procedures with the Project Manager, Owner, and Architect before trade contractor work starts. Maintain a “zero punch list”.
• Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors, working with the safety support personnel as a resource. Continually strive for zero injuries on all projects.
• Understand and maintain construction budgets for all general conditions.
• Report all issues that materially affect budgets, schedules, quality of work and safety to Project Manager immediately.
• Report all delays to Project Manager immediately upon notice, help develop overall recovery plans as needed.
• Ensure that all daily reports are accurate and detailed.
• Provide support and ownership of field audits with Senior Management Teams.
• Complete all duties in accordance with the Operations Manual, Safety Manual, and any other company-provided instructions.
• Reports to the Field Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

Formal Education/Knowledge:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:

1-4 years of Commercial Construction experience or equivalent role.

Computer Knowledge: __

Work requires proficiency in Microsoft products and Procore. Training provided for Procore software.

Certifications:

OSHA

Other Requirements:

Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills to properly and accurately present information and promote the professionalism of Focus Design Builders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
