Job DetailsJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic claims team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling property insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach to ensure a positive experience for our policyholders.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate property damage claims by conducting on-site inspections, interviewing claimants, witnesses, and experts, and reviewing relevant documentation.
Evaluate the extent of damage and determine the appropriate settlement amount based on policy coverage, estimates, and applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to assess and verify damages.
Communicate effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process, providing updates and clarifications as needed.
Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all claims activities, including investigations, evaluations, settlements, and correspondence.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and improve claims handling procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of claims policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance technical skills and knowledge.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a property claims adjuster or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant computer applications.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed for on-site inspections.
