We are currently looking for a Pest Control Manager to join our amazing team!
In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of pest control operations for a portfolio. As a Pest Control Manager, you will assure that pest control standards are achieved and sustained in accordance with project objectives. Assuring compliance with federal regulation, state regulation, and DOD directives. You will get review contracts when request for compliance, value and expense.
The Work Schedule Consists Of
  • Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4pm
  • Occasional Saturdays
  • Occasional On-Call
  • Possible OT
  • Starting base salary of $72,800 annually with the opportunity for an annual performance bonus up to 15%
  • Company vehicle and equipment provided on a daily basis to perform job duties
Responsibilities
  • Establish, update, implement and support the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program to meet partner and state policies, procedures, standards and reporting
  • Oversee and ensure personnel receive proper and adequate training and follow the necessary processes and procedures
  • Ensure Pest Control operations are conducted safely and produce minimal impact on the environment
  • Work with site leadership on strategies for accountability and setting of goals and quality standards
  • Ensure Project Incentive Matrix is met through financial and customer service goals
  • Oversee compliance issues with federal, state, local, DOD, DPW, and NAVFAC regulation and ensure pest control operations comply with said regulatory entities
  • Monitor certification and training requirements for all pesticide applicators
  • Maintain information on approved pesticides, product labels, safety data sheets, applicator names, certification documents, inventories of storage facilities, and vehicle inventories
  • Ensure all products are listed on the military Facility Pesticide Use Proposal for approved products
  • Review chemical application records for accuracy prior to submittal to the required regulatory authorities
  • Oversee and perform quality control checks for service request processes for in house and subcontracted pest control operations. Ensure subcontracted providers are utilizing approved materials and process per the IPM program
  • Evaluate projects to determine the viability of in-house operations
  • Develop a compliance plan of action following regulatory authorities. Provide estimated start up costs, including staffing requirements, product, equipment, storage, and vehicles and communicate with leadership
  • Participate in hire, termination, and progressive discipline in coordination with HR and provide regular updates to DPM, DOF, and VP Facilities
  • Actively participate in recruitment process for all pest control personnel, ensuring personnel hired receive proper training and obtain required certifications or licenses.
  • Address and diffuse customer concerns and escalation including appropriate follow up, provide modified or advanced pest control procedures if required, and follow through to resolution
  • Participate in site and environmental programs, coordination with safety and environmental managers on immediate concerns and opportunities for improvement and be informed of personnel response and efforts during emergency situations
  • Conduct incident investigation in coordination with safety personnel and provide report and recommendations for improvement and implementation of agreed actions
  • Serve as liaison between Maintenance/pest control operations and Property Management departments
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years related pest control experience.
  • 1 - 3 years supervisory/management experience.
  • Structural Pest Control certificate.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written.
  • Strong customer service and resident relations experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Structural Pest and Wood Destroying license.
  • Associate's degree in Entomology ore related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi or other similar industry software.
