Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care for mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
Duties:
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor
- Administer pain management techniques
- Assist with health coaching for new mothers
- Perform IV infusions as needed
- Coordinate discharge planning for patients post-delivery
- Utilize trauma medicine skills in emergency situations
- Conduct IV insertions and suture removals
- Provide assistance with assisted living tasks as required
- Document patient care using the Cerner system
- Assist with tube feeding when necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with Labor and Delivery experience
- Certification in Obstetric Nursing preferred
- Proficiency in pain management techniques
- Skilled in IV insertion and infusion
- Knowledge of discharge planning procedures
- Experience with trauma medicine in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system
- Ability to perform suturing as needed
- Comfortable with assisting living tasks for patients
