Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpreting Orders: Reviewing orders provided by physicians or other medical professionals to determine the necessary scans.
• Patient Communication: Explaining the CT scan process to patients and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
• Positioning Patients: Properly positioning patients to obtain accurate images of specific body areas.
• Administering Contrast Dyes: Administering intravenous (IV) contrast dyes to enhance imaging quality.
• Image Examination: Examining captured images to ensure usability.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment.
• Supply Management: Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and restocking as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating CT equipment and capturing diagnostic images.
• Hygiene and Safety: Adheres to hygiene and infection control guidelines.
• Compassion and Communication: Demonstrates empathy, patience, and effective communication with patients.
• Industry Knowledge: Stays informed about the latest developments in CT technology.

Education and Training Requirements:

• 1-3 years’ experience
• NJ X-Ray License, ARRT (CT) required
• Primarily ED patient Experience
