Job summary

Lead all process engineering activities for key plant processes and systems. May manage capital projects and operation activities as assigned.

Summary of essential job functions

• Maintain plant material and energy balances and process control.
• Develop and improve processes, P&IDs, SOPs, and process narratives.
• Lead and train technicians; participate in hiring, managing, and evaluating/testing technicians.
• Substitute for plant operations leadership as needed.
• Assist in capital and maintenance planning.
• Support long-term production scheduling and participate in daily production meetings.
• Analyze data, daily reports, laboratory information, and operations activities.
• Understand and lead environmental discharges and good manufacturing practices.
• Facilitate cohesive teambuilding; communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

Minimum requirements

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Engineering preferred

Experience required

1-3 years plant manufacturing experience or equivalent demonstration.
