REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in Social Work
 Licensed Clinical Social Worker Preferred
 Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in mental health crisis counseling for the Mental Health Response and Intervention School Social Worker
 Hold or is eligible to hold professional certification through the Florida Department of Education as a School Social Worker
 Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License; if a holder of any other valid US state-issued Driver’s License, agrees to acquire a Florida Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is required REQUIRED SKILLS
 Expertise in written and verbal communication skills, including presentations skills
 Ability to work harmoniously, cooperatively and effectively with school and district staff, students, parents and community agency personnel
 Ability in planning, organization, decision making and task completion  Ability to provide effective social work services
 Knowledge of school and community resources for students and parents/guardians
 Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling problem situations with competence in human and interpersonal relations skills
 Strong working and continuing knowledge of school laws, policies and regulations as well as the knowledge and understanding of alcohol/drug laws
 Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
 Demonstrates competence in the techniques to analyze the needs and potential of individuals
 Demonstrates knowledge within the area of specialization to a degree consistent with the educator’s professional preparation
 Ability to use the tools of technology
 Demonstrate competence in the techniques used to evaluate learning, mental health, student management, and goal achievement for the Mental Health Response and Intervention School Social Worker
 Considerable knowledge of the techniques and principles of child and family development, family systems theory, crisis intervention, individual, family, group, play therapy, cognitive behavior therapies, and trauma-focused interventions for the Mental Health Response and Intervention School Social Worker

Pay: $53,937.00 - $55,137.00 per year
