Our pediatric dental office is looking to add a warm, bubbly dental assistant to our team. We are a private practice located in beautiful Vineyard, UT. We have a wonderful doctor and staff that enjoy providing excellent patient care and a fun, energectic enviorment to our patients and team.
Our ideal candidate has at least 1 year dental assisting experience. Is very entergetic, positive and enjoys having fun and providing exceptional care. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a desire to learn is a must! Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and update patient records in the electronic medical documentation system (Open Dental)
- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring impressions and trimming models
- Schedule patient appointments
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year dental assisting experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- X-ray certification required (can be completed upon hire)
- Experience working with Open Dental software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
