This Functional Tester position is fully remote, candidates must be located in Eastern/Central time zones. The Functional Tester will work in tandem with the software development team to analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. Translate detailed design into application systems. Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality. Provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met. Use automation tools and techniques to achieve these objectives.
Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a software engineer or tester
• 3 years of experience with the creation of test cases, test suites, requirements matrices, and end-of-test reports
• Experience working in an Agile environment and with application lifecycle management (ALM)
• Experience with 508 compliance review
• Experience with analyzing and documenting software test results
• Experience with designing, implementing, tailoring, and documenting automated test frameworks used on testing projects
• Ability to support efforts to test the solution for accessibility and usability compliance
• Ability to assist with the development of overall test plan and test artifacts, identify records, help manage defects to resolution, and identify and communicate any testing issues or risks to developer and test lead
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile SDLC
• Ability to create a process for identifying potential compliance issues and documenting issues in user stories for prioritization by the client for resolution and pro-active testing for Section 508 compliance for functionality available to end-users
• Ability to create 508 test artifacts
• Ability to manage discrepancies identified during testing and collaborate with the software development team to resolve software bugs
• Ability to set testing schedules and provide progress or status to project management and client stakeholders
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (FDA Public Trust)
