Job Title: Residential Technician

Home Office: Anna, IL; Vienna, IL; Golconda, IL; Karnak,IL; location is dependent on the shift you are applying for. 

Area of Focus: Behavioral Health 

Program(s): Supervised Residential: The Supervised Residential Program provides adults living with substantial levels of mental illness or disability with 24/7 services through recovery-oriented community residential facilities.

Immediate Supervisor: Program Manager 

Residential TechnicianMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Qualifies as a Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA); Mental Health Professional (MHP) is preferred; experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or disabilities is preferred.

Residential TechnicianSpecial Requirements: Maintain and provide proof of a valid driver's license; maintain and provide proof of personal vehicle liability insurance; at least 21 years of age; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; maintains CPR & First Aid training requirements.

Residential TechnicianSkills & Knowledge: Skilled in the delivery of rehabilitative services to adults; knowledge of local health and human services resources; basic crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques; excellent written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills.

Available shifts:

  1. Call-in- covering hours and completing miscellaneous tasks at all locations (Karnak, Rosiclare, Anna, Vienna)
  2. Anna, IL 
    1. Full-time 40 hours. Fri - Sun 6:40 pm - 8:00 am

Residential TechnicianJob duties include, but not limited to

  • Ensures that the human rights of clients served are upheld in accordance with state and federal rules. 
  • Prevents, recognizes, and intervenes in accordance with OIG Abuse/Neglect Rule 50 and health, safety, and infection control procedures to ensure clients are kept safe and secure.
  • Communicates and interacts with clients and peers in an effective, ethical and professional manner. 
  • Understands and actively participates in the service plan implementation as assigned by the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional – QIDP.
  • Assists clients with activities of daily living, personal care and hygiene, mobility, medication administration, and dietary needs.
  • Understands and administers first aid, CPR, and monitors/reports vitals as required and communicates the health status of clients to the Registered Nurse. 
  • Effectively intervenes and participates in behavior intervention program as written per client, as applicable. 
  • Completes all required forms and documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates active involvement in team/program meetings, supervision, and agency/community events and activities as assigned.
  • Ability to screen, assess and provide interventions for clients that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
