Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, The EVS Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our PACE participants. This position involves a combination of housekeeping and environmental maintenance duties to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within our facilities. The EVS Worker will work closely with other team members to contribute to the overall well-being of our seniors
Responsibilities
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean and disinfect participants rooms, offices, bathrooms, and public areas according to established protocols.
• Sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas regularly to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Ensure that restrooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Assist in setting up rooms for various activities and events.
• Break down and clean up after events, ensuring spaces are returned to their original condition.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with established guidelines.
• Monitor and replenish supplies in designated areas.
• Coordinate with other staff members to address specific cleaning needs.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure environment for participants and staff.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals in a safe and responsible manner.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly
• Follow all infection control procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of infection.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing tasks.
Education & Training
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safe chemical usage.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Must be able to document care provided in participant’s service records.
• May be exposed to a risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily • fluids, communicable diseases, and any other conditions common in a clinic environment. Subject to unpleasant odors.
