BASIC FUNCTION: The Engineer (experienced Engineer/Maintenance) assists with guest room service calls, identifying and correcting issues. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventive maintenance on property equipment, facilities, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years’ experience in a similar job in the hospitality or similar industry preferable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Certified pool operator preferred. Refrigeration, HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting & repair experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Resolves guest’s problems and handles all guest requests.
• Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplish assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains records & logs as required.
• Complete the shift rounds checklists and corrects noted problems.
• Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems, (training provided).

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• All other duties as required.

ENVIRONMENT:

• Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside possibly in inclement weather.
• Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc.
