Description

Rolling Plains Management Corporation is seeking applicants for the position of a Part Time (35 hour per week) Head Start Teacher Assistant for the school year at the Wilbarger County Preschool in Vernon, Texas. All applicants must be 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be willing to obtain CDA Credential. A minimum of 1-year of experience working with children ages 3-5 years is preferred. Position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required
Must be at least 18 years old. Teacher assistant or daycare experience highly preferred.
Must be willing to obtain CDA before 2013.
Must have ability to communicate effectively with other team members and management. Communication and organizational skills required.
Must embrace the principle of the parent as the primary educator and support attachment of parent and child.
Ability to balance a variety of duties, prioritize and meet deadlines required.
Ability/knowledge of personal computer operations within a Windows software environment required.
Ability and desire to work with diverse populations required.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions and procedures required.
Available for a light amount of night and weekend work.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change in the workplace.
Must be willing to take and pass a drug/alcohol test and comply with the “Drug Free” Agency Policy.
Must be able to pass regular criminal history checks.
 Must have annual health examination and regular TB tests as required.
Must possess ability to arrange self-transportation capable of regional travel. Drivers must have permit of appropriate classification and endorsement as required. Must agree to maintain a satisfactory MVR and minimum requirement of insurability as required by law. MVR background checks may be conducted by the agency.
