The Eliminator Pest & Property Service is Hiring a Pest Control Specialist Near Vermont, IL

The Eliminator Pest Control is expanding!

LOOKING for a career change in an industry you may not be considerung? Its time to consider PEST CONTROL. Pest control technicians are responsible for preventing and controlling the spread of insects and other pests that may infest homes, restaurants, warehouses, business and other establishments. By removing pests, pest control technicians help prevent damage to these properties and remove various threats to the safety and health of the occupants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintains a strong relationship with management, clients, and potential clients through good public relations and communication practices as part of business development and retention.
  • Maintains safety on each project in accordance with approved safety rules and regulations.
  • Inspect and assess homes, restaurants, warehouses, business and other establishments for infestation or damage from pests and recommend solutions to the client or prospective customer.
  • Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, label instructions and state regulations.
  • Drive company vehicle to customers’ houses or places of business
  • Respond on a timely basis to customers’ service calls.
  • Complete required service reports after every service call.
  • Knowledgeable of, and able to utilize a service call tracking software system.
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition.
  • Assist in sales to new customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUATION

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to building application site.

LICENSES & TRAINING
Vermont Dept of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License CORE, 7A, 7C and Mosquito

Or be available for training and pass exams required to obtain the above licenses within 3 months of employment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean DMVR and current auto insurance coverage. This is required whether you use your own vehicle/equipment or the Company’s.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb up to a step-size to 32 foot ladder. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, flexible and detailed oriented.
  • Must be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Great time management skills; available for seasonal long hours. This position will require, weekend work during peak seasons.
  • Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Employees are responsible and accountable for:

  • Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
  • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
  • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace
  • Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
