New Directions Technologies is Hiring a Program Manager Near Ventura, CA

This position requires U.S Citizenship, a DoD Security Clearance (NOT ACCEPTED - H1B, F1, or Green card/Permanent Resident), and the ability to work onsite (remote/telework is not an option) - no exceptions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the various NAVAIR IPTs as well as other engineers and administrative staff to lead the technical, engineering and administrative efforts related to mission planning and electronic warfare.
  • Be the single POC between the contracting team and the government customer.
  • Manage and monitor Cost, Schedule and Scope for all projects under development
  • Work close with the ITPs and ensure DoD 5000.02 AAF is institutionalized across the projects in coordination with the IPT process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple subcontractors and ensure subcontractor teams perform as a single integrated team within the government-contractor IPT.
  • Work with corporate operations and ensure contract deliverable are delivered on time
  • Resolve issues and conflicts, execute government directed tasks, provide rapid responses to challenges with program management and contract execution.
  • Review system/software architecture, program and contract document to ensure all project are progressing according to established cost and schedule.
  • Recruit and retain technically qualified personnel that meet the requirements of the contract

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Education: BS or BA in Business administration or other relevant technical discipline (Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Science, Systems Engineering).
  • Experience: 3 to 10 years as a program manager in a DoD environment. Experience with Navy aircraft and weapons systems highly desired.
  • Candidate must be experienced in managing all aspects of a DoD contract, including subcontractors.
  • Candidate must have exceptional inter-personal skills and be capable of working in a very dynamic and fast-paced systems/software engineering environment.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work with multiple task teams, build a cohesive environment, facilitate teamwork, resolve conflicts, and ultimately produce quality products for both US and FMS customers.
  • Desirable that candidate have experience with Agile/SAFe development methodologies as well as DoD 5000.02 Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF).
  • Candidate must have experience with Navy and/or Air Force Mission Planning Environments.
  • Candidate must have experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Desirable that candidate be familiar with Electronic Warfare concepts
  • Desirable that candidate be familiar with Navy aircraft platforms – F/A-18 E/F, EA-18G, F-35, AV-8B
  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance.
