Job description – Payroll Specialist
Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, "people" person who enjoys the challenges of a fast-paced working environment and moving between autonomous and team projects and duties. If you like interacting with a variety of customers and taking satisfaction knowing that they can depend on you for problem-solving, then you might be the person we're looking for. We have a state-of-the-art payroll processing system to assist you in providing the excellent customer service our clients have come to expect.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the onboarding of new and existing customers that meet the expectations outlined in the service commitment.
- Collect data from clients via web, fax, email or phone and gather any outstanding employee information.
- Answer basic and detailed client payroll questions.
- Update payroll records by entering pertinent changes.
- Validate/balance client data for accuracy – strong attention to detail.
- Work with business clients to ensure maximum utilization of our products and services.
- Effectively manage and resolve emergency client situations.
- Assist with packaging of payroll and tax forms.
- Maintain updated knowledge of payroll laws.
- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Demonstrate efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed tasks in a fast- paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
Qualification Requirements and General Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Computer proficient (Windows PC)
- Strong customer service skills
- High level of problem-solving ability
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirement
- Knowledge of payroll processing a plus
- Minimum of 3 years customer service
- Knowledge of UKG Kronos Payroll app a plus

Salary: $40,000
