PenderFund Capital Management Ltd (“Pender”) is an independent, employee-owned, value-based investment firm founded in 2003. We are seeking a motivated, creative and results-oriented student to join the Marketing Team as the Marketing Intern. This will be a 4-month role from late August 2024 to late December 2024 with a possibility of an extension into 2025. We are offering hands-on experience in a wide-ranging role where your involvement will make a strong and positive contribution to raising Pender’s profile with prospects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• With guidance from our team, we are looking for someone to contribute to the production of our core awareness building projects. These vary, but prior interns have worked on an International Women’s Day campaign, the summer reading list, research into cutting edge lead generation tactics, email marketing strategies and podcast channels, some graphic designing for various campaigns and other exciting projects.
• There are also day-to day tasks that our intern supports the team on, such as uploading content and documents to the website or updating certain quarterly performance reports as well as posting on LinkedIn.
• There is always a place to recommend new ideas, initiatives and efficiencies. We are always looking for new injections of creative thinking, whether it concerns our content, our creative, or adding a new platform to our toolkit.
• We ask you to immerse yourself in our brand and to deliver work on time, on budget and with excellence and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a graphic design, multi-media, marketing or related program at a post-secondary institution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of digital marketing tools.
• Eagerness to learn and the initiative to add value and contribute to the success of the marketing team.
