Job ResponsibilitiesLead Machining Dept. strategy and implementation
Plan and execute projects to drive continuous improvement regarding department KPI’s
Actively participate in RCPS performance review meetings
Provide direction and coaching to a technical team
Own, prepare, and maintain all production standard work and production documentation conduct regular standard work checks
Develop, maintain, and improve CAD layouts
Ensure that process improvements are accurately reflected in product costing software
Participates in ergonomics team meetings with the goal of identifying and eliminating ergonomics risks
Perform annual performance evaluations for direct reports along with periodic 1-on-1 reviews
Evaluate customer returns for root cause and corrective actions, utilizing formal problem-solving tools such as 8D analysis, PFMEA’s, Control plans, etc.
Background & SkillsRequires B.S. in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering discipline and 10 years of engineering work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred knowledge involving machine selection, CNC programming, tool selection, and other similar experiences.
Knowledge and application of problem-solving tools and methodologies desired.
The position will be interfacing with suppliers and customers.
Additional competencies for the position include the ability to manage multiple projects, process reliability experience, process improvement, large capital project work, excellent written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with various computer software and applications such as CAD/CAM, Excel, Word, MS Project, Minitab.
