CeDent is Hiring a System Administrator (VA; VA) Near VA, VA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, and storage and network connectivity.
  • Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
  • Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
  • Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
  • Establishes and maintains user accounts, assigning file permissions and establishing password and account policies.
  • Perform and remediate STIG checklists.
  • Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment.
  • Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems and aids in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes.
  • Installs, configure and test software packages.
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backup.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Server 2016 and VMware Proficient

DESIRED SKILLS:

VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification a huge plus.

DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

IAT Level II Certification Required (i.e. CCNA Security, Security CE, GSEC, GIC SP, S SCP, CySA **) IAW AR 25-2

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance Required
