Based in Syracuse, New York, they specialize in commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. Position Overview : We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Estimator with expertise in ground-up commercial construction to join our client's dynamic team.
The Estimator will be instrumental in providing accurate cost estimates, ensuring project feasibility, and contributing to the successful delivery of diverse construction projects.

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects, as well as industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects.
- Perform thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and drawings to produce accurate quantity take-offs.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather comprehensive cost data.
- Review and interpret project documents, including blueprints, proposals, and contracts.
- Identify cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities to optimize project budgets.
- Maintain and update a database of historical project costs and unit prices for reference.
- Prepare bid proposals and participate in bid review meetings and presentations.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to ensure competitive estimating practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
