Job Summary:

The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all production, which includes all work orders, to fulfill live customer orders, pre-build stock orders, and transfers to other branches. This critical role works closely with Operations to ensure all work is scheduled in the most efficient manner, and the branch is supporting Sales by serving our customers in the best way possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish the daily production schedule for all work cells, establish the daily shipping schedule, coordinate inter-branch transfers, and support execution of these schedules
• Manage min / max levels of stock components
• Expedite late vendor shipments, find additional sourcing if needed and update ERP system so all team members can see the most current status of the order(s) to meet customer acknowledged ship date
• Communicate with production, sales and our customers on any issues impacting our ability to meet the acknowledged ship dates
• Support establishing proper product codes, part numbers, and assigning bin locations for new stock items or increases in stock levels
• Ensure production scheduling is performed at all locations, per established procedures and hold site management & schedulers accountable
• Support and drive accountability of following Work Instructions & Quality procedures
• Supervision of Shipping and Receiving ensuring all procedures are followed to ensure inventory & cost accuracy
• Arrange freight / logistics as needed; and customer billing
• Assist with other general warehouse duties, as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or 3-5 years’ experience in the Industrial Hose industry
• Intermediate to Advanced in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs
• Ability to multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience using Prelude ERP software or similar preferred
• Experience with industrial distribution, preferably fluid power components
• Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings preferred
• Experience with industrial distribution workflow

• Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
