Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community and we are currently recruiting for a Full-time Supervisor, Patient Financial Services opportunity.
EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT:  Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly), generally Monday - Friday 8:00a-4:30p.
- Assists with the day-to-day management of the Patient Financial Services department and provides backup to the department Director. In this capacity, is responsible for all patient billing and collection functions for the hospital. Ensures that the billing and collection functions are performed in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations and are compliant with specific requirements of insurance companies. Establishes processes and applies technology to facilitate efficient, timely and accurate collection on patient accounts.
- Education:
- Associate's degree preferred

- Experience:
- Five years of medical billing experience required, knowledge of medical terminology. Supervisory experience preferred.

- Special Skills:
- Must be able to understand and provide written and verbal instructions, pertaining to medical billing and appeals. Demonstrates an eye for detail and critical decision making to coordinate back office operations. Ability to work in fast paced environment and communicate with people at all times in a professional and tactful manner. Must have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the practice management and electronic medical record systems. Must be detail oriented and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize appropriately.
