Job title: Endoscopy NurseJob Summary:An Endoscopy Nurse is responsible for assisting with endoscopic procedures, providing patient care before, during, and after the procedure, and educating patients on post-procedure care. They work closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a safe and effective procedure for patients.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assist with preparing patients for endoscopic procedures2. Monitor patients during procedures and provide support as needed3. Administer medications as directed by physicians4. Educate patients on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort7. Assist with cleaning and sterilizing equipment8. Participate in ongoing training and professional developmentQualifications and Skills:1. Valid RN license2. Previous experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology preferred3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team5. Attention to detail and ability to multitask6. BLS certification required7. ACLS certification preferred8. Knowledge of endoscopic procedures and equipment9. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism10.
