The Role

We believe that small, collaborative, and cross-functional teams are best equipped to achieve the most optimal project outcomes. Within these teams, UX Researchers play a pivotal role in uncovering the insights that guide strategy and design, leading to exceptional digital experiences, products, and services.

As a Senior UX Researcher, you’ll lead the research efforts to gain a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, behaviors, and motivations. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, strategists, and engineers to inform and shape our deliverables, from discovery through solutioning, and across testing and validation.

This role requires extensive experience in UX research methods as you’ll plan and conduct user research activities, facilitate workshops, and present findings to stakeholders, both independently and as part of a team. Your innovative mindset and strategic approach will challenge the status quo and infuse our projects with fresh perspectives. Through leadership and collaboration, you’ll establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your team and our clients.

Ideal candidates should have experience working in an agency or consultancy environment, utilizing advanced design thinking methods and UX research best practices. You will take a proactive and strategic approach, helping project teams deliver exceptional project outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Develop research briefs that incorporate a clear understanding of our clients’ business, needs, and objectives, as well as recommended research methodologies and execution plans that exemplify end-to-end thinking of the role of research within the overarching program of work
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research including stakeholder interviews, customer interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies
• Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
• Present findings to clients and internal teams, effectively communicating insights and strategic recommendations
• Collaborate with strategists and designers to integrate research insights into the design process

What You'll Bring

• 5 years experience conducting UX research within an agency or consultancy environment
• A strong history of work demonstrating skill, methodology, and strategic impact on projects
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to listen, and present effectively to senior stakeholders
• Experience defining research plans and rationale for specific methodologies used
• Confident leading one-on-one interviews, presentations, and workshops at a senior level
• Extensive experience leading qualitative and quantitative research and analysis
• Experience with remote testing tools
• Advanced knowledge of usability, accessibility, analytics, and A/B testing
• Proven ability to build trust as a strategic advisor and capable team leader focused on delivering exceptional work

We are seeking candidates for a 3-month contract with potential to extend. This is a hybrid role with three days per week in the studio. Candidates should be residents of Vancouver and able to travel. Remote candidates located in Canada and able to work PST hours may be considered.
